#1. butterbeer
for those of you who have made your own, i know you understand why i would be obsessed with this delicious drink. the first time i tried butterbeer was in my college dorm. we made it for an alcohol awareness event/competition between the floors of the dorm. we decorated the lounge to be (a not as great version) the Gryffindor common room and served butterbeer from the "Three Broomsticks" table and sweets from "Honeydukes" in a cauldron. It was way too adorable, and being the nerd I am I did the best I could to add lots of awesome details.

butterbeer is a pretty simple recipe. there are multiple versions of the recipe online, but all include the same basic ingredients:
butter
butterscotch syrup (ice cream topping)
club soda or cream soda

the MuggleNet.com version of the recipe serves 2 mugs.
they suggest putting 1/2 cup of butterscotch syrup and 1/2 tablespoon of butter in a cup together and microwaving the combo for 1- 1 1/2 minutes.
when you finish this you can stir it and let it cool for about 30 seconds before you mix in the cream (or club) soda. serve it in two mugs and congratulations, you have butterbeer!

for those of you having potter premiere potters this treat is the best! butterbeer has inspired me to attempt to make a butterbeer-esque cupcake sometime... although i'm not sure how i will pull it off it would be worth a shot!

#2. sweaters
movie hermione is almost always in some form of a sweater, even when she isn't in the hogwarts uniform. some of this fashion may be due to emma watson's awesome sense of style, but either way it fits hermione's smart look but is still chic and comfy. too bad it's 100 degrees outside everyday now, at least i can admire them because i know a cold winter will be here sooner than i want it to be.
often paired with simple skinny jeans and ballet flats, it is easy to rock the hermione look.
oh look, even harry knows that sweaters are awesome!
i love the light pink pullover!
#3. lightning bolts
harry's lightning bolt shaped scar is mentioned constantly throughout the books and is a part of the movie's logo. this makes me love lightning bolts obviously, and want to include them in my life in all ways possible!
i would look so cool in this dress from Asos. i could represent my weird obsession in a fashionable way, right?
these earrings from Betsey Johnson would be adorable to wear when I go out, or whenever I want a little potter bling to add a cool look to something
do i even need to explain how freaking fabulous these heels by DSquared2 are? no. no i don't.
even Lady GaGa knows that lightning bolts are awesome. in a perfect place i could rock the face painted bolt and not get any weird looks, but that place just isn't where i live.

love,
lindsay a.k.a lindsay weasley
